Look! A new comic! It’s a two days after Nondenominational Late-December Celebration miracle!! Now, I’m not going to say this is gonna be a regular thang here. I’ve still got half a year more of schoolin’ to go through, and then will have all the time in the world to make comics since I’ll be unemployed and begging for food at the local soup kitchen. So come August, hopefully there’ll be a kinda-sorta-not really-but-maybe-if-you’re-lucky-resumption-of-comics-on-a-somewhat-regular-no-let’s-say-irregular-so-I-don’t-get-egg-on-my-face basis. Till then, uh . . . check the RSS feed!

So, saw Equus
Harry Potter and the SomethingSomething last night. Was a’ite. The creepy girl who looked a lot like that jerky, preppy kid who’s always antagonizing Harry, and then in clichéd terms gets his comeuppance was good. And creepy. Aside from that, the movie lacked urgency, which is ironic because it’s the only one of the movies so far that actually tries to achieve any urgency. They spent too much time on Jackie Kennedy Hitler the Ministry lady who jerks everyone around, and not enough time showing how the forces of darkness and eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil are actually dark and eeeeeeeeeeeeeevil. “Oh no. The woman in pink is being mean. We’re doomed.” Doesn’t exactly strike fear in the hearts of men, but I suppose this ain’t high literature either.

Oh yeah. I went there.

I think this comic deserves the Copyright Infringement tag if for no other reason than the final speech bubble mimics a certain rodent’s logoohpleasedon’tsuemeWalt!!!

This would normally be an appropriate time to use the Pain.  Lots and Lots of Pain tag, but, ya know, indestructibility.

Damn, another unfinished one.

Unfinished business here, it seems.  I’ll get around to coloring this guy sometime.

I was tempted to add the Breakin’ the 4th tag here, but ultimately decided against it.  If we can get into a metaphysical discussion here, the last panel of this comic does serve to break the fourth wall because it alerts the readers to the fact that the comic has no punchline by stating that there is no punchline.  However, Julio was telling a joke within the comic, for which he is purposely refusing to give a punchline.

I suppose this is a situation where the tag might have been appropriate, but I would rather preserve it for more blatant examples of 4th-wall-breakin’.
